FAREWELLED IN THE NORTH.— The Auckland branch of' the Royal Empire Society last week gave a farewell luncheon to.Mr.'W. I. Jordan, M.P., who leaves shortly for London to attend the League of Nations at Geneva and later to lake up the-duties, of High Commissioner in London in succession to Sir James Parr. The guest is seated third from the left, next, to the chairman, Professor F. P. Worsley.- Mrs. Jordan is seated to the right'of the chairman.
