WAR AGAINST PLAGUE
Remarkable results are reported from the use of . a new anti-plague serum, which, it is stated, resulted in a decrease of 41 per cent, in plague cases in Java in 1935. In 1934, 23,267 patients in Java died of plague. About 2,500,000 Java inhabitants were inoculated last year with virtually no aftereffects, being recorded. Medical circles in Holland; expect that the extraordinary .. success of the Otteri serum (named after its discoverer) will leftd to a general use of it in all the world's plague areas. .....•■ '
