DINNER TO TEAMS

After the Test match, members of the teams, and of the Council of the N.Z.F.A. and the management committee of the W.F.A., were entertained at a dinner, over which Mr. J. J. Roberts, president of the Wellington Association, presided in the absence of Mr. J. A. Milburn, .chairman of the JTew Zealand Council.

The toast of the Australian F.A. and of the visiting team was proposed by Mr. W. J. Vaney. He congratulated the winners on their handsome victory .and spoke of the fillip the tour would give to the game in New Zealand.

In reply Mr. S. A. Storey, the manager of the team, and chairman of the Australian Association, thanked Now Zealand for the sporting way in which his team had been treated throughout the tour. Everything possible had been done to make them happy, he said.

Mr. A. Cameron, Australia's captain, complimented the New Zealand team on their dogged play without a full side. '

The toast of the New Zealand Football Association and the New Zealand team was proposed by Mr. Roberts, and responded to by Mr. R. Innes, the New Zealand captain, and by Mr. G. Campbell, captain of the 1923 New Zealand team.

Mr. J. A. Meltzer proposed the toast of the New Zealand Parliament, to which Mr. W. J. Lyon. the member lor Waitemata, replied.
