Improved with his earlier race at the meeting/when he was prominent till S e?J J he end of the Trentham Hurdles, bait Spray proved quite decisively the best horse at the weights in the Talavera Hack Hurdles. Jumping well he was never further back, than fourth, and, taking charge going to the final fence, he came to with long, loping strides comfortably to keep Lord Val always at bay by a length. It was two years.ago that Salt Spray was first put to hurdling, when he gave considerable promise at the game, but though he has not been greatly raced this was his first win for nearly twelve i months.
