TRADES UNIONISM
A WORLD BODY
RESOLUTION BY CONGRESS
(Received July 13, 1.40 p.m.)
LONDON, July 12.
In order to establish a united worldwide trades union movement, the International Federated Trades Union will negotiate with the national centres in America, Australia, New Zealand, the Far East, the Soviet, and with other non-affiliated centres.
The secretary (Sir Walter Citrine) asked the trades union congress, which passed a resolution to the above effect, to avoid acts tending to compromise the necessary discussions.
The congress confirmed its unrelenting opposition to war as an instrument of policy, and declared that, Fascism constituted a constant menace to peace.
