By a master stroke Patrolman George Maestressat, of San Jose/California, has solved the great problem which is worrying city authorities the world over—how. to detect violators of parking laws. Patrolman Maestressat does it with peanuts. While on his beat he places a peanut under the rear wheels of every car parked in the street. An hour later he returns. If a peanut is crushed he knows that parfticular car has been moved. If not, the owner gets a summons for over I parking. . ' .
