The Minister was welcomed at Thames by Messrs. J. Thorn, M.P., C. S. Donovan (on behalf of the borough), F. W. Hetherington (Chamber of Commerce) , H. Lowe (County Council and Harbour Board), and P. Jenson (local branch of the Labour Party). There was a large crowd at the station.
