In a professional • featherweight boxing contest tonight P. G. Hawcs (Christchurch), .flst .121b,. beat R Aitken (Wellington), 9st 31b, in ten rounds on points. Hawes timed his punches better and gave Aitken a good deal of punishment with hooks and jabs, but Aitken used a straight left cleverly.
