DAIRYING INSURANCE
PROPOSALS APPROVED j (By Telegraph) (From "The Poet's" Special Reporter,) HASTINGS, This Day. Proposals for the establishment of a comprehensive insurance scheme to cover the dairy industry were considered and approved almost unanimously by the National Dairy Association conference today. The scheme will be managed by a well-known overseas insurance company and will provide for an eventual mutual insurance company to be founded to control all dairying insurance.
The following committee was appointed to manage the scheme: — Messrs C. P. C. Dermer (Cheltenham), N. Campbell (Awahuri), D. G. Begley (Heretaunga), R. B. Gelston (Hinerua), A. J. Sinclair (Te Awamutu), and three members of the executive of the National Dairy Association.
The Aorangi, which left Sydney for Auckland at 5 p.m. yesterday, carries London air mail for Auckland and district, dispatched on June 3. The remaining portion of the mail will probably be dispatched by the Monowai which is due to leave for New Zealand today. The Post and Telegraph Department announces by advertisement in this issue that new or amended entries for the next issue of the telephone directory to be published in August. 193G, should reach the Chief Postmantcr. Wellington, not later than June 20.
