LAGOON TRAGEDY
ACCIDENTAL DROWNING I (Bv Telegraph—l'ress Association.) MASTERTON, This Day. A verdict of accidental drowning was returned last night at an inquest concerning the deaths of Hector Sinclair Donald and Norman Murdoch McLeod, who lost their lives on Saturday night while 011 a duck-shooting expedition at Kahutara. , It is surmised that their boat capsized and although they made a gallant fight to reach the shore they were overcome with cold. The bodies were yesterday located from an aeroplane, which directed the dragging parties to the spot. ... . , The funeral of the victims will take place this afternoon.
