EGG EXPORT TRADE

Preparations are already being made by the Canterbury Egg Export Committee for the coming season's operations. Some conception of the magnitude of the task ahead can be gauged from the fact that last year 2,295,360 eggs were exported from Canterbury alone. Approximately the same number of eggs will be sent overseas this year. Last year the-first shipment left New Zealand at the beginning of September, and it is anticipated that a similar programme will be adhered to this year.
