HOME WORK
WELLINGTON COLLEGES
The question of homework in the secondary schools, about which there was considerable controversy a short time ago, is being inquired into by the Board of Governors of the Wellington Colleges. The headmaster of Wellington College (Mr. W. A. Armour) stated today that he had submitted voluntarily a very full report on the subject of homework to the board last month. He also added that'some adjustments in this connection had been made at the college. Mr. F. Martyn Renner, the headmaster of Rongotai College, is preparing a report on homework at the request of the board, which, it is understood, has also called for reports from the principals of the two girls' colleges under its control.
In reply to a question, Mr. G. F. Judd, the secretary, said that the homework question is to be dealt with at the next meeting of the board at the end of the month.
