COCKAYNE COLD MEDALS
The Council of the New Zealand Institute of Horticulture considered two candidates, Messrs. J. G. C. MacKenzle, Of Hastings, and M, J. O'Sullivan, B.sc of Auckland, for the award of the Cockayne gold medal for the best student in the diploma examination of 1935. As the merits of the two candidates appeared to be "equal, the examining board recommended a gold medal for each, and this was approved-
