ENGLISH SPOKEN
Munich language experts say that "English speech now leads the world," basing their conclusion on calculations which show that English is spoken today by eleven times as many people as it was 100 years ago. In the last century the number of English users has increased from 20,000,000 to 220,000,000. Russian is now spoken by 170,000.000, as against 33,000,000. German users have increased from 42.000,000 to 90,000,000, Italian from 21,000,000 to 45,000,000, and French from 32,000,000 to 45,000,000. Turkish is the sole major language included by the Nazi statisticians in the European group whose "speech-group" has diminished,
