£10,000 DONATION
PRIZE FOE AIE RACE LONDON TO JOHANNESBURG (Received June 1, 11.50 ajn.) LONDON,, May 31. Mr. Schlesinger, a South African millionaire, has donated £10,000 as a prize for ail air race from London to Johannesburg in connection with the Johannesburg Exhibition. The race will be confined \o Empire pilots and aircraft. The organisation of the contest will be under the control of the Royal A.ero Club. "I want to see the people of South. Africa air-minded," said Mr. Schlesinger. "South Africa, now one of the most prosperous members of the British Commonwealth, is unprotected, and is open to any air attack."
