GOLDEN MILLER'S DEFEATS
The blaze of glory that surrounded Golden Miller a couple of years ago is now only flickering faintly. Recently at Cardiff he was again beaten in the Welsh Grand National Steeplechase, being an odds-on favourite but failing to do better than third behind Sorley Boy and Free Wheeler. Sorley Boy, who is owned by Mrs. F. Ambrose Clark, was in front all the way, with Golden Miller second till the last jump, then yielding' that placing to Free Wheeler in the home run.
