NEARING NEW YORK
LINER QUEEN MARY SPEED REDUCED BECAUSE Off FOG (Received June 1, 2.50 p.m.) NEW YORK, May 31. A representative of the "New York Times" aboard the Queen Mary states that at noon on Sunday the liner had steamed 2517 miles at ah average speed of 29.15 knots. During a large part of the last twenty-five hours she had run through fog. cutting the distance covered to 678 miles for an average of 27.12 knots. The Queen Mary is nowscheduled to reach New York Harbour at 10 o'clock on Monday morning.
