CRAWFORD BEATS M CGRATH
DAVIS CUP PRACTICES
GERMANTOWN, May 26.
Crawford showed his finest form of the training period today in taking two practice sets from McGrath. He had more power in his game than before, showed good speed on his service stroke, and got beautiful depth with his ground strokes. Much of the time he had McGrath waging a combat from behind the base line. Crawford's backhand was also working nicely.
Quist and Sproule engaged in several practice sets this morning. Tomorrow both the Australians, and the Americans will play on the grandstand' centre court. . ■ ■■'
