INDOOR BOWLING
NEW ZEALANDERS' TOURNEY
One of the features of this season's indoor bowling in Wellington will be the tournament for rinks made up of New Zealand-born, players. The tour? nament is' to commence on Monday evening at the Winter Show green, and the executive extends" a hearty invitation to all bowlers to be present at the opening. The Mayor will be present and will send up the first bowl. Mr. Gilbert, president of the Wellington Bowling Centre, will also be present. ■ The competition promises to be keenly contested, and "from the many entrants.it is proposed by the committee to choose five rinks to represent Wellington against "the world." Games in sections A and B are to be played on Monday night, and games in sections C and D are to be, played on Wednesday night. • The draw for the first round is as follows:— Section A. —First round: Wilson (Newtowri) plays Gray'CKelburn; Edwards (Island Bay) plays Fletcher (Hataitai); Russell (Indoor Bowling) plays Welsh) (Hataitai); Mills (Johnsonyille) plays Jones (Victoria); Ryan (Porirua), a bye. Section B.t—First round: Boyes (Victoria) plays Osborn (Island Bay); Urwin (Petone.
