TODAY'S CLASSES
DANCING AND ELOCUTION
Dancing and elocution classes were judged in the Concert Chamber and the Blue Triangle Hall this morning, when the New Zealand National Eisteddfod's festival, which is still drawing large houses, was continued. The following are the results of the sections judged this morning:— OPERATIC DANCE, 14 and under 16.—Joyce Knighton (Karori), 1; ! Ngaire Stewart (Petone), 2; Joan Clements . (Roseneath), 3. . RECITATION, girls under 10.— Ngaire Wilson (Lower Hutt), .1; I Beryl Richardson (Johnsonville), 2; Rae Andrew (Wellington), 3. Very highly commended: Florence Coburn (Wellington). Highly commended: Jacqueline Williams ■ (Upper -Hutt), Edith Legg (Wellington). RECITATION, New Zealand author. —Miss'Lexie Mathieson (Dunedin), 1; Miss Sybil Henderson (Dunedin), 2; Miss Audrey Whitelaw (Wellington), 3. Very highly commended: Miss Dorothy Whitelaw (Mornington).'Highly commended: Mr." Nathan Beatus (Wellington), Miss Mary McGavin (Ke'lburn), Miss Valeric Ashenden (Lyall Bay), Miss Gladys Tonkins (Wanganui).
