TASMAN AIR SERVICE
PROPOSALS SUBMITTED
SYDNEY, May -3-.
The Minister of Defence, Mr. R-7--A. Parkhill, states that certain proposals for a trans-Tasman air service- have been submitted to the Government/but it would be premature to deal with any of them until the British air-mail proposals have been dealt with and the New Zealand Government's attitude defined. ■ i
According to a Sydney cable dated April 22, the "Sun" staled that an' organisation was being formed to operate a trans-Tasman air service 'between Sydney and Auckland. Captain P. G. Taylor was taking a leading part in the negotiations, which were in only a preliminary stage.
