To Clean Paint Brushes.—Just heat some vinegar to boiling, point and allow the brush to simmer- in it for half an hour. Prevents the leather cracking and. improves its appearance. . . - To Prevent Fried Eggs from Breaking—Add a teaspooriful of flour to the frying fat and they won't break or stick. ~ _ To Prevent Sausages Bursting.—Before frying dip them in boiling water, and also before grilling. To Keep Cake Fresh and Moist.—Put a piece of bread in the cake tin. Icing a Cake.— Icing a cake is made easier and there need be no fear of the icing, if properly made, runningjust sift flour over the top and sides. Prevent Cake Burning.—Your oven may burn the bottom of the cakes. To prevent this stand them in a tray of sand or ashes. . Cleaning Old Brass.—The cleaning of 'old brass is made easy if you pour on strong ammonia.. Tißse a good brush to clean and rinse iin dtear water.
