OBITUARY
MRS. A. R. HISLOP, SEN.
Mrs. A. R. Hislop, widow or the late Mr. A. R. Hislop, sen., died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. H. J. Francis, of Renall Street, Masterton, yesterday evening after a prolonged period of failing health. Mrs. Hislop, who was in her 84th year, was a daughter of the late Mr. James Buttars, one .of Otago's -early pioneers. Bom in Coupar, Fifeshire, Scotland, Mrs. Hislop came to Dunedm with her parents and two sisters 79 years ago, and settled with her husband in Wellington 59 years ago. Mrs. Hislop is survived by a family of one son and two daughters, the son being Mr. A. R. Hislop,. of Wellington. The daughters are Mrs. C. E. Fordham, also of Wellington, "and. Mrs. H. J. Francis, of Masterton. There are also seven surviving grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. John Gallic, of Kelburn, is a brother-in-law.
