FIRST DAY'S RESULTS

Ten races were sailed on the first day of the Paremata Boating Club's Easter regatta yesterday. More than fifty centreboard yachts and hundreds of sailing enthusiasts were present, most of them.with the intention of participating in the racing today, tomorrow, and on Monday. Yesterday's breeze was a light steady northerly which lightened and became variable in the afternoon as it died to an evening calm.
