RADIO FOR THE BLIND
CHRISTCHURCH DECISION

CHRISTCHURCH, April 9,
A decision to buy 15 wireless sets for blind persons in Christchurch who were in poor circumstances was reached at today's meeting of the advisory committee of the Sir Arther Pearson Memorial Fund for the Blind. It was stated that the estate of Christian Schmidt had provided £400 for the benefit of blind persons in Canterbury, and the committee had decided to spend part'of this in the purchase of wireless sets for blind' persons who could not afford to pay even a part of the price of .a-radi© set.
