"THE CATTLE KING"

Sir Sidney Kidman started life's battle with five shillings and a brave heart. He died the acknowledged Cattle King, controlling over a hundred stations in Australia covering an area greater than that of Victoria and Tas r mania combined. Success was not achieved at one stroke and many adverse blows of fate had to be countered before success was won. But great in vision and organisation. Sir Sidney Kidman triumphed, and the story of his rise to fame as told by lon L. Idriess in "The Cattle King" (Angus and Robertson, Sydney) makes very excellent reading.
