BOY CATAPULTED
TREE-FELLING TRAGEDY
150 YARDS OVER HOUSE-TOPS

LONDON, April 8.
Two hundred school children at Carshalton, Surrey, were watching a tree being felled when a lad of 11 years of age, Stanley Parish, became entangled as the guide rope tightened with'the fall of the tree. He was catapulted 150 yards over the housetops into a rear garden, and died on the way to the hospital. The speed of his flight .turned the lad's jacket inside out. His mother saw the tragedy, but aid not realise the identity of the victim.
Two other boys were thrown some distance but. were not seriously injured.
