A,.welcome.to Captain and the Hon. Mrs.' LV-C Gamage was extended at a dinner given in their, honour at the Hotel St. George by Mr. H. E. Taylor, general manager of the British General Electric Co., Ltd.
Among those present were:—Mr. F. T. M. Kissel and Miss Kissel, Mr. and Mrs. J. Griffin, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Wyles, Mr. and Mrs. M. Cable, Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Yaldwyn, Mr. and Mrs. T. C. A. Hislop, Mr. G. Lauchlan and Miss Lauchlan, Captain L. C. and the Hon. Mrs. Gamage, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Hollands, Mr. and Mrs. G. McNamara, Mr. .and Mrs. Hope B. Gibbons, '. Mr. an<3 Mrs. Richardson, Mr. and Mrs. Bearman,-Mr. S. C. Brown.
Captain,Gamage is the export director" of the G.E.C., and is paying a visit to New Zealand in order to establish the New Zealand business of the. General Electric Co. in New Zealand as a separate organisation. During his stay Captain Gama£e is visiting each main centre, and he will eventually leave lor'; England by ( the Aorangi, in ' or.det* to travel home on. the maiden ■ voyage ■of ■ the Queen k Mary. . ■
