CRICKET
EASTER MATCHES
The Kilbirnie .Cricket Club has arranged two matches for the Easter holidays, one with Taubmans (on Saturday) and the other with the Mercantile League (on Monday), play in each match to commence at 10 a.m. The teams are:—
Kilbirnie v. Taubmans.—D. S. Wilson (captain), K. Allen. R. Allen, W. G._ Bain, H. Bramley, F. Butler, M. King, G. Lewer, ;H. Lubransky, C. Rooke, and E. W. Tindill.
Kilbirnie v. Mercantile League.—W. J. R. Christophersen (captain), R. Allen, J. Ashenden, W. G. Bain, B. Clarke, H. Lubransky, R. O'Neill, C. .Rooke J. Scott. E. W. Tindill, and D. S. Wilson. The Auckland and-Wellington Harbour Board teams are to play at Kelburn Park '. for the Barnett ■.' Shield. Teams representing the Auckland University College and Victoria University College will play •at Wellington College, and there will be a boys' match at the Basin Reserve. Wellington teams will be going to-Hastings. (Gannet Cup match) and to Napier. GAS CO; MATCH. The annual ,match, Wellington Gas Co. v. Christchurch Gas Company, will be played at Wakefield Park on Good Friday and Easter Saturday,' play commencing each day at 10 a.m. Included in the Christchurch team is W. Hadlee, the New Zealand representative, and several senior; players.. The following will represent the Wellington Gas Company:—E. Cameron, T.; Meade, G. Hearne, C. Mulholland, W. Church, J. Widdisoh,. H.: Denison, ■W. Harris, J. McClymdnt, W. Hearne, W. Smith, B. Glavin (twelfth man).
. Tlie following team will represent the Mercantile League against Kilbirnie at Kilbirnie Park on Easter Monday:—Aldridge (Prestige), captain; A. Martin (Roseneath), Kemp (Prestige), Jennir/3 (Customs), McKeowan (Prestige), Galvin (Customs), Crook (Pastimes)., Hqdson (Abbot Oram), Bramwell (Labour-Tourist), Yeoman (Seatoun), Ramsay (Prestige).
