An enjoyable social evening was held on Monday in the Council Chambers at Eastbourne when the Mayor (Mr. E.-W.'Wiste)' and councillors, with their wives, met toifarewell the borough engineer ; (Mr. W. J. Frethey) and Mrs. Frethey, Mr.; Frethey having been ap-1 .pointed Clerk-engineer to the Weber County Council.
