Vet it was realised that con-: siderable difficulties existed, especiaUy in. regard to:-£inance, and would need; to; be surmounted, before this goal cpuld be ' attained; General dissatis^. faption was expressed with' the'treatment meted,put to amateur, wrestlers, by the jWeJlington Wrestling .Associa■lisn and the S New Zealand Wrestling Union, -and it- was considered .^that amateurs must "be freed from'- the'control of bodies concerned with the professional control o£ the "sport. '
;A representative of the National Sporting Club assured the meeting that any step towards the formation by the amateurs of an . amateur controlling bbdy had the whole-hearted support of; that club.
'The National Sporting Club was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for its assistance. ■■
