LOCAL ACTIVITIES

EASTBOURNE CLUB

Several new members were elected, and a decision was made to set gymnasium^ training under way a fortnight before; Easter. '■ , In the report and balance-sheet it was shown that some of the club s teams had done well on the playing fields and that social activities and general interest in the club's well-being made the financial position very satisfactory. The committee vie#ed with grave concern'the fallmgoff of the lower grade teams, particularly the age-limit grades, and felt that some immediate action was necessary to entourage the young boys of the district to .join up. • Dealing with the performances of each of the teams, the report mentions that the junior and third A teams had at first been graded too high. Appreciation was expressed at the work of the coaches and of the assistance given by others in various directions. ' The loss of Mr. C.
