Details of the inter-club eight-oared races, to be rowed" on Saturday;'were discussed at a meeting last evening of the management committee of the Wellington 'Kowing Association. : . Star No. 1' and: Petone were drawn in «the first heat; which will start at 2.45. p.m., and Wellington and Star No. 2 in the second heat, which will start at 3.30 p:m; The final will be rowed at 4.30 p.m. Mr.. J. E. Scanlon was appointed starter, Mr. C. G. Mac Gibbon judge, and the selection committee the umpires. ■". ■ ■ . Affiliation was granted to, the University Rowing Club. SECEETABY RESIGNS. In a letter dated March 2 the secretary, Mr. Mac Gibbon, announced his resignation. It was accepted with regret, and Mr. Scanlon was appointed acting-secretary. I'; In view of the inability of the present selector (Mr. M. A. Turner) to attend the inter-club eights on Saturday, Mr. F. M. Spurdle was appointed selector. '
