MILITARY TRAINING
NO COMPULSION IN AUSTRALIA
CANBERRA, March 10.
The Minister of Defence, Mr. K. A. Parkhill, gave an emphatic denial today to published reports that the Com•monwealth Government contemplated the of compulsory military training. However, the military board had furnished a number of recommendations for improving the militia recruiting figures which would involve additional expenditure and which would receive Cabinet's consideration.
