PHOSPHATE SHIPMENTS

AUCKLAND, Febrary 28.
A. record year in the shipment of phosphate rock from Nauru and Ocean Island is forecast by Mr. A. F. Ellis, New Zealand representative on the British Phosphate Commission, who returned to Auckland- by the Wanganella after attending a meeting of-the commission in Melbourne. "Conditions at the islands are quite satisfactory," Mr. Ellis said. to ' present estimates we hope to ship 750,000 tons of phosphate this year, a record for the islands."
