Argo Gold Dredging Company, Ltd., reports the following is the official return for week ended February SiYield, 460z; hours dredged, 136; yardage treated, 15,000. EMPEROK. Emperor (Fiji) reports: From December 31 to January 25, 1230 tons of ore were crushed for 7640z fine gold. The head value was equal to 15.3dwt a ton, and the loss in tailings 2.BBdwt a ton. The tailings loss was high, consequent upon treating tolluride ore from No. 5 winze. The manager states that this will not recur, as no further tellundes will be treated by the mill. The second filter will be in operation on January 31. In December the mill was in operation for three weeks, and treated 030 tons of ore for 3830z of fine gold. DAWN OF HOPE. : Dawn of Hope, Thames, reports the stope between No. 1 and No. 2 winzes continues to produce high-grade ore, and a little specimen stone. This stope is now 40ft in length on the line of the lode. The stope on the specimen leader going towards the junction or the Golden Age reef is showing strong blotches of gold. Owing to the flood damage on the borough water race the crushing could not be gone on with. The repairs will be completed early in the week. MATAKI. Mataki, Murchison, reports: Last week the dredge worked on a face pi 400ft with an average depth of 13ft. There has been no change in. conditions. The river remains very low, the weather being dry with an almost total absence of rain.
