BIG RIVER REPORT

I Big River Gold Mines, Ltd., reports for week ending February 6: —Shaft repairing is proceeding satisfactorily. About the same amount ol shaft has been straightened as was completed the previous week. Two shifts were lost in picking up the chamber timbers at No. 4 level, the floor of which started to sink again. Further subsidence here will now be impossible. No. 2 adit level is also being repaired. BULOLO AND PLACER. Mr. Fred. G. Dunn, attorney for Clutha Development, Ltd., has received the following cablegram from Sydney: —Cabled advice has been received that the hull, of the Pato dredge No. 3 is being built in Florida and will be towed up the Magdalena River to the Pato property, where the machinery will be added. It is contemplated that the dredge will now be operating this December instead of June next year as advised at the annual meeting. For the five months to end of January the Asnazu dredge dug 633,000 yards for a recovery oJ 40 cents per yard. The paddock was heavily flooded with water, and took three and a half days to clear. Altogether 36 hours were spent pumping Kildare. During the remainder of the month j steady sluicing work was carried out, and heavy gravel was blown towards the elevator. Full time was worked,' and good progress made.
