SERVICES IN HUTT VALLEY
A united public service in memory of the late King will be held in the Petone Recreation Grounds at 3 p.m. tomorrow. It will be conducted by the ministers of the various churches. The public service that was to be held in the Lower -Hutt Recreation Ground on Tuesday has been postponed and no open-air service will be held tomorrow at Lower Hutt. The Mayor and councillors will attend memorial services at St. James's Anglican Churcn in the morning and the Methodist .Church in the evening1. Or behalf of the Upper Hutt Borough Council, the Mayor has acceptecj invitations to attend special memorial services at St. John's Anglican Church. iTrentham, at 11 a.m., and at St. Davids Presbyterian Church, Upper Hutt, at 7 pm. tomorrow. In conformity with [he Royal Decree, the observance of the two minutes' silence will be the only feature on Tuesday. The proposed service at Maidstone Park on thai day has been abandoned. The Eastbourne Borough Council has accepted invitations to attend memorial services at the Anglican Church in the morning and the Presbyterian Church in the evening. No open-air service will be held.
