SOUTH AFRICAN WAR VETERANS
The following message of condolence and assurance of loyalty to the Throne has been cabled by the Dominion president of the South African War Veterans' Association (Mr. J. I. Goldsmith) to the British Empire Service League for transmission to his Majesty King Edward VIII:—
"The South African War Veterans of New Zealand respectfully express deepest sympathy in the Royal Family's irreparable loss, and desire to assure his Majesty of their devotion to him and unswerving loyalty to the Throne."
