BEGONIAS AT THEIR BEST
Though the work of the begonia house specialists at the Botanical Gardens is carried out under considerable difficulties in that for a good part of the year the house must be given up for other purposes, their enthusiasm that Wellington's begonia show shall retain an easy first place among New Zealand collections produces each year a wonderful result. Just now the begonias are at their best, a gorgeous display of form and colour. The house has had many visitors during the past week, but tomorrow will be the bit; day. The house will be open from 2 to 4.30 p.m. On weekdays the hours are 30.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Apart from the show of begonias the gardens are very attractive this season, for the rather damp summer and a general absence of heavy winds have given strmmer blooms every chance.
