HENDERSON—EVANS.

A wedding of wide interest to a large circle of friends throughout New Zealand was celebrated at Knox Church, Masterton, on Wednesday, when Agnes Jane, second youngest daughter of Mr. Frederick Evans and the late Mrs. Evans, was married to Eric, younger son of Mrs. Henderson and the late Mr. Herbert Henderson, of Auckland. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. John Davie, and Mr. Miller-Hope played the wedding music. Miss Edith Ralph gave a beautiful rendering of the hymn "O, Perfect Love," which completed the fully choral service. The church was tastefully decorated by friends of the bride with bowls of hydrangeas in shades of pink and blue.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a lovely gown of ivory needlerun lace, flared to form a graceful train. Her long veil of finely embroidered tulle, which was lent by her sister, was held on the head in cap fashion by a half circlet of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of roses and carnations intermingled with maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid was Miss Lily Cocker, who wore a charming frock of powder blue needlerun lace cut to form a short train, and finished at the waist with a velvet sash of the same toning. A halo hat of blue tulle, relieved with a posy of pink and blue buds, added a delicate touch to her dainty ensemble. She carried a shower bouquet of pink carnations, sweet peas, and gypsophila.

Mr. H. B. Massey was best man.

As the bridal party left the church they passed under an arch of golf clubs held by members of the Masterton Golf Club, of which the bridegroom is a member.

A reception was held at the Hotel Midland, where the guests were re-

ceived 'by the hostess, Miss E. Fulton, who wore a smart frock of wine-col-oured cordelene'with posy to tone.'

When Mr. and Mrs. Henderson left by car for a tour of the North Island, the bride was wearing a navy blue and white ensemble with shoes and handbag to tone. Their future home will be in Masterton.
