Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Sutcliffe, Scots College, have returned to Wellington from the north.
Mrs. Lammond, Sydney, is the guest of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. B. N. Edkins, who are visiting Wellington for the races, and will accompany them on their return to their home at Kerikeri. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Ferguson, Wellington, are visiting Napier. Dr. Helen Bakewell left Wellington last night for the south. Mr. and Mrs. J. Mclntyre and daughter, Wellington, are spending a holiday in Napier as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Ferguson. Miss Marion Reese, president of the Canterbury Association of the New< Zealand Federation of University* Women, who is at present visiting her sister, Mrs. Cornelius, Pahiatua, will come to Wellington early next week to attend the triennial conference of university women. : Mrs. Ralph Holden is a Hawke's Bay visitor to Wellington for the races. Miss Ivy Rockel has returned to; Wellington from Christchurch. Misses Harper, Mary and Barbara: Allan, of Wellington, who have been staying with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Macdonald, Edendale, returned home on Tuesday. Mrs. D. J. Malone and her daughter, Miss Mollie Malone, Stratford, are visitors to Wellington for race week. They are the guests of Miss Whelan, Oriental Bay. • .. . ■ Miss Evelyn Rawlins, Palmerston North, is in Wellington attending the series of lectures being given by Dr.. Edgar Bainton. She will also attend the annual conference of professional musicians. Mr. and Mrs. Percy Thomson, and the Misses Rita and Thelma Thomson, Highland Park, have returned to Wellington from a holiday spent at Rotorua. Mr. and Mrs. K. Mitchinson are Wellington visitors to Wanganui. Mrs. A. Mackinnon, "Robertslea," Middlemarch, Central Otago, who has been visiting Wellington, has returned south. Mrs. D. L. Cameron (Karori, Wellington) and Mrs. G. H. Birch (Remuera, Auckland), who went to Christchurch to attend the EdwardsMidgley wedding, are the guests of their sister, Mrs. A. Edwards. ' Miss Iris "Dicke'n, B.A.j has returned to Wellington. She travelled to Christchurch to be present at the GrantEllis wedding. Miss M, A. Maclean, Brisbane, who has been spending several weeks in New Zealand, will leave Wellington today for Australia. Miss Barbara Robison has arrived from Sydney to stay with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. G. S. Robison, Talavera Terrace. She will return to Sydney next March. Miss Nancy Lennox, Auckland, is a visitor to Wellington. Mrs. M. Harris and Mrs. L. Saker, Melbourne, are visiting Wellington. Dr. Jessie Scott, vice-president of the Canterbury Association of the New Zealand Federation of University Women, will leave on Monday night for Wellington to attend the triennial conference of the federation, which will open on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Rex McKelvie, Bulls, are in Wellington for the races. Mrs H J Burns, Wellington, is visiting Auckland Mr and Mis A W Duhkley aye spending a holiday at Pukerua Bay.
Mrs. C. R..Dodd and her small son; have returned to Auckland after having spent several weeks with Mrs. J. A. Doherty, Kelburn.
