SHORTAGE OF SUPPLIES
The market for frozen lamb in London is firm on short supplies, according to advice received today by Cathie, Dempster, and Co., Ltd,, from Sheed, Thomson, and Co., Ltd., London. Wethers are slow, ewes steady, beef slow, porkers quiet, baconers steady, and tallow unchanged. The range of prices is as follows: — Lambs, 2's 72d to 8 l-Bd, B's 7fd to Bd, 4's 7id, seconds 7£d to 7Jd, Wethers, l's, 7's, 5 l-8d to 53d, 3's, 9's, s's, 3Jd to 4 7-Bd. Ewes, l's, 7's, 31d to 3 5-Bd, 3's, 9's, s's, 2Jd to 3d. Ox beef, hinds 3Jd to 3 5-Bd, fores 2 3-Bd.
Cow beef, hinds 2 7-8 dto 3d, fores 1 7-8 dto 2d. Porkers, 6d to 7d. Baconers, 5Jd.
