CHURCH DAMAGED
FIRE UNDER ROOF
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) ■CHEJSTCHURCH, This Day. A fire under the roof of the Sumner Presbyterian Church last night damaged the building to the extent of about £300. ' ' ■ The outbreak appeared to have started just above the pulpit of the church. It travelled over the kitchen and the minister's vestry, and, fanned by the ventilating system, soon set alight to the woodwork over the ceiling and the laths of plaster on the ceiling and walls. The origin of the fire is a mystery. The church was not in use at the time. I
