PRESS TRIBUTES
AT HOME AND ABROAD
CONCERN IN ITALY AND
ABYSSINIA

LONDON, January 20. Newspapers both at home and abroad publish brief editorials paying tribute' to his Majesty.
"The Times" says: "There is no man alive to whom more hearts and minds in all nations of the world wish health and strength than King George." The "Daily Mail" says: "Now, as always, the hearts of the Empire peoples are bound by a personal link of affection to their Majesties."
French newspapers devote full-page articles paying tribute to his Majesty's greatness.
A message from Rome states that the "Giornale d'ltalia," in. a front-page article, says that Italy is following the King's illness with sincere concern. "No matter what may be the hostility by certain British parties against Italy," it states, "we cannot forget that King George, who was our ally in the World War, is a King with great virtues, a deep sense of responsibility, and devotion to public affairs. We therefore hope he will soon be able to resume his high mission in British national life."
Addis Ababa reports that Abyssinians are most concerned at the King's health, and inquiries are pouring in from all parts of the country. The Emperor has issued orders for every bulletin to be immediately transmitted to his headquarters at Dessie.
