ANNUAL CONFERENCE

NEW PLYMOUTH, January 20,
Dissatisfaction with the present monetary system and confidence that a better system could be evolved comprised the general tenor of the speeches at the opening session of the annual conference of the New Zealand Douglas Social Credit movement at New Plymouth today. Dqlegates were welcomed by the Mayor, Mr. E. R. C. GilMr. S. G. Smith, M.P., and representatives of local bodies.
Great enthusiasm was shown by delegates. The speakers included Captain ff M. Rushworth, M.P., Mrs. Graham, Mr. A. C. A. Sexton, M.P., Mr. C. A. Barrell, M.P., and Mr. W. J. Jordan, M.P. In the next three days meetings,will be held throughout North Taranaki.
