Friday's closing prices for the following raw materials were as follows, those for January 10 being shown in parentheses:— Cotton: Liverpool quotation, good American middling, spot, 6.13 d a lb (6.07rf); February delivery, 5.92 d a lb (5.80 d). Rubber: Para, 7d a lb (6Jd); plantation smoked ribbed sheet, 6 7-8 d a lb (6 11-16 d). Jute: January-February shipment, Indian jute, Dundee quotation, £-20 10s a ton (£2O 7s 6d). Copra: January-February shipment, South Sea to London or Hotterdam, £14 5s a ton (£l3 15s); smoked, to Marseilles or Genoa, £13 5s a ton (£13); plantation, Rabaul, to London or Rotterdam, £15 7s 6d a ton (£ls 2s 6d). Linseed oil: £29 10s a ton (£29 15s). Turpentine: 44s 3d a cwt (45s 6d).
