THEATRE-OWNER'S DEATH
(Received January 16, 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, January 15. The death has occurred of Mr. Roxy, creator of the modern movie theatre palaces.
Roxy,* whose real name was Rothafel. was one of the most famous theatre-owners and artists in presentation in the United States. The Roxy Theatre, which he built years ago, seated 6100 people, and at the time of its construction' was the largest motion picture theatre in the world. Later he became associated with Radio City. ;
