MASSEY PREVENTS ROT
MAORILANDERS IN FIJI
SUVA, January 15.
In the cricket Test against Fiji the Maoriland team made 234 and 149 (Dunning 14,-Vipond 26, Wyatt 0, Sandford 2, Walter 0, Massey 38, Riley 0, Bright 18, Renshaw 8, Sutherland 15, Andrews 10 not out, extras 18). Massey, in a fighting knock, stopped the rot'after lunch today. Cakobau was again the best bowler, and took three wickets for 26. Turaga took three for 40, and Rennje two for 21. Fiji made 149 and 19 for no wickets. The match will be resumed tomorrow.
