CAPITOL THEATRE, MIRAMAR.
"Behind the Evidence," screening finally at the' Capitol Theatre tonight/ is a thrilling mystery drama, featuring Norman Foster, Sheila Mannors, and Donald Cook. Crammed full with breathless thrills and interest, the story deals with a young sportsman-reporter who sets out to expose a gang of criminals masquerading as respectable businessmen and brokers. The supporting feature "Power of Evil," starring"Walter Connolly, Constance Cummings, 'and. Allan Dinehart, is heralded as a startling expose of hidden government.
STATE THEATRE, PETONE. ■ "Mystery Woman," featuring Mona Barrie, Gilbert Roland, John.Halliday, and Rod la Rocque, is the current feature at the State Theatre, Petone. "Mystery Woman" is a story of a gallant wife's struggle to clear her husband from disgrace. The heroine gambles "her honour readily in a ngnt to save the man she loved, but she holds fast -t6 her ideal—his rescue. She finds that criminals have thenhonour too. Mona Barrie, John Halliday, and Rod la Rocque are very well cast. A particularly fine supporting programme is being screened.
